Seduced – Lifetime – 2 hours 2 minutes
Berkeley-bounded Izzy is doing a paper on a website called “Missed Connections” when she sees a description of her mother, Caroline. She tries to convince her mother to responded but to no avail. So, being a sneaky teen, Izzy responses for her mother and sets up a date with Gavin. Gavin is an Italian investment mogul that knows how to charm and romance. Soon, Caroline is stealing, skipping work, and ignoring family life for passion. Then, on a whim, Caroline decides to visit Gavin and meets his girlfriend Margo. After talking, the two realized that Gavin is a fraud that wants to con them out of millions. Margo and Caroline decided to work together to bring him down.
Seduced is great for the first 30 minutes and the last 30 minutes. Everything else is fluff. Since this is Lifetime you can see what’s happening a mile away. So don’t break open the wine, but get a nice juice box and browse Amazon to kill time between sex scenes (FTC Affiliate Disclaimer). The movie is well acted as Elisabeth Rohm goes from shy mom to sultry seductress to head woman in charge. Caroline’s story development and character arch saves this film.
